Utah is an incredible place, but our community faces some serious challenges.

Enlisting was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Attacks on our public institutions, our public unions, the future of our children, and the backbone of our economy have called me to service once again.

PLATFORM

Home ownership

Owner-occupied homes deserve to be considered first when designing tax-policy, incentives, and public investment. We must get Wall Street out of our neighborhoods.

the GREAT SALT LAKE

We must take bold and dramatic action to save the Great Salt Lake right now. We have run out of time for small fixes.

PUBLIC EDUCATION

Our state is prospering but the legislature still wants to make cuts to public education. We must increase funding for public education, increase teacher pay, and invest in the future of our children and our communities.

Healthcare

For-profit health insurance companies have proven to be only interested in CEO pay and Wall Street bonuses. We must act now to protect affordable access to healthcare for all Utahns.

CLEAR SKIES

Dirty air is cutting into our quality of life and our life spans. We must act now to end the worst of our bad air quality days.

responsible TAXATION

We must lower the tax burden on working class and fixed income families.

“While I was studying to become a teacher, I saw something that made my blood boil.”

US ARMY veteran

In the wake of the 2008 recession, I chose to turn a challenge into a calling by enlisting in the U.S. Army. While my parents had initially discouraged me from military service, it proved to be the defining chapter of my life. I am forever grateful for the lessons learned and the honor of serving in our country’s strongest institution.

Masters in economics

The struggles of 2008 stayed with me long after the markets recovered. They sparked a decade-long journey to understand how we can protect our community from future instability. Ten years after the crash, I walked across the stage with a Master’s in Applied Economics and a mandate to fight for a fairer system."
